Dog Daycare & Home Care

Small-capacity, home-from-home daycare in Pewsey — plus home visits and puppy visits. A real home, not a commercial facility.

Your dog in a real home — not a facility

Gracie's Place daycare is based at Rob's home in Pewsey. It's not a commercial kennel or a large group facility. It's a welcoming, calm, familiar environment where your dog can genuinely relax.

The capacity is deliberately kept very small — Rob takes a maximum of two client dogs at a time, alongside Gracie. That small number is the whole point. Every dog gets real attention, proper time outdoors and a day that feels settled rather than chaotic.

Rob knows each dog individually — their moods, their habits, what they like and what unsettles them. That kind of knowledge only comes from keeping numbers small.

Why small numbers matter

Maximum two client dogs at a time

Your dog isn't one of ten. They're one of two. That's a fundamentally different experience — and it's the only way to provide genuine individual care.

Secure, comfortable and calm

Rob's home provides a genuinely welcoming environment for dogs — not just a space to be kept in.

Home access

Dogs are welcomed into Rob's home — a proper living space, not a kennel run or annexe. They're treated as part of the household.

Secure garden

A secure outdoor garden gives dogs outdoor time, sniffing opportunities and space to move without needing to go on the road.

Rest areas

Dogs have dedicated space to rest and wind down. Rest is a non-negotiable part of the day — not an afterthought.

Separate spaces

Where dogs need their own space — for meals, naps or if they need some time out — separate areas are available.

Walks throughout the day

Daycare isn't just containment. Rob takes dogs out for walks during the day — getting out matters as much at daycare as it does on a dedicated walk day.

Enrichment

Beyond walks and rest, Rob introduces enrichment activities — sniff games, problem-solving and appropriate play — to keep dogs mentally engaged.

What the day looks like

Days are flexible and adjusted to each dog, but here's a rough sense of what a full daycare day involves.

Collection & arrival

Rob collects your dog from home and brings them to Gracie's Place. Dogs settle in, say hello to Gracie and get comfortable in the space.

Morning walk

A proper walk to burn energy, sniff and explore. Route and length suited to the dogs present that day.

Play & enrichment

Time in the garden, enrichment games, or relaxed indoor play — whatever suits the mood and the dogs.

Rest time

Dogs need to sleep. Rob ensures they have calm, undisturbed rest time during the day — not constant stimulation.

Feeding (where required)

If your dog is with Rob over a mealtime, you provide their food and feeding instructions. Rob feeds them at the time you specify.

Afternoon activity

A further walk, garden time or enrichment session to round out the afternoon, depending on the dogs' energy levels.

Return home

Rob drops your dog back to you — happy, tired and ready for an evening on the sofa.

Full day or half day — regular or occasional

Daycare at Gracie's Place is available as a regular booking or occasionally. Whether you need the same days each week or a one-off when you have a long day at work, Rob will do his best to accommodate.

Home & puppy visits

When your dog needs a check-in at home rather than a full walk or daycare day, Rob can come to you.

Home visits are useful for a range of situations — feeding, toilet breaks, companionship for dogs that don't do well alone, elderly dogs who need regular check-ins, or puppies still building confidence and routine.

A puppy visit specifically is tailored to younger dogs who are still adjusting to being at home alone for short periods. Rob will follow your puppy's routine, give them a toilet opportunity and provide some reassurance and company.

Visit type Price
30-minute welfare home visit £15
1-hour welfare home visit £30

Adventure experiences

Rob is developing a range of more distinctive dog experiences beyond standard walks and daycare — tailored outings that give dogs something genuinely different.

Potential adventures include longer countryside days, swimming trips, beach outings, scent-work games, agility-related activities and enrichment experiences. These are shaped around what would suit your individual dog.

Service Details Price
Half-day adventure Half-day countryside experience tailored to your dog £90
Additional dog — half day (same household) Per additional dog from the same household £45
Full-day adventure Full-day countryside experience tailored to your dog £150
Additional dog — full day (same household) Per additional dog from the same household £75

More services being developed

Rob is in the process of building out additional services, which may include dog sitting, overnight stays, wedding and event dog care, and transport to groomers or vets. These will be confirmed and added to the website as they are established.

If you have a specific care requirement that isn't listed, get in touch — Rob is happy to discuss what might be possible.

Get in touch

Eligibility & the free meet & greet

A free meet & greet is required before any daycare booking. This is a relaxed, unpressured meeting — usually at a secure dog field — so Rob can get to know your dog and discuss your dog's individual needs.

At the meet & greet, Rob will cover temperament, behaviour around other dogs, feeding requirements, any medical conditions or medication, emergency contacts, and any specific triggers or concerns you have. Nothing is too small to mention.

Vaccinations required

Dogs should be fully and currently vaccinated. Puppies must have completed required vaccinations before joining group services.

Females in season

Females currently in season cannot be accepted for daycare or group services.

No general breed exclusions

Large breeds and most breeds welcome. Unneutered males considered individually. Discuss your dog's situation with Rob.

Nervous dogs

Nervous dogs may be accepted at daycare depending on their individual needs and how they settle. Discussed at meet & greet.
